We are pleased to announce Ian Bailey will be speaking at the Professional Zone at Primary Care Nursing Expo on being a Queen’s Nurse

Ian is a District Nurse and Queen’s Nurse. After graduating in 2001, he worked as a District Nurse in Liverpool and, over the next 13 years undertook many managerial and leadership roles within the community including Modern Matron, Nurse Manager, Strategic Lead for District Nursing and Chief Clinical Informatics Officer. It was the latter post, alongside a personal interest in technology in healthcare, that led Ian to leave the NHS in 2015 to take up his current role with EMIS Health.

Ian’s current role involves working with Community Organisations to implement and optimise one of the UKs leading Electronic Health Records; particularly focussing upon clinical leadership and culture change. Although his work sees him supporting all healthcare disciplines, Ian’s passion for District Nursing remains strong and his role as Facilitator for the National District Nursing Network ensures he continues to work closely with The Queen’s Nursing Institute and many other national bodies to champion the care provided in community settings.
